Moringa OLEIFERA
Known as Moringa or Ben, it is a species of tree native to northern India. It grows in almost any type of soil, even in conditions of high seasonal aridity, which makes this plant a resource for the populations that live in these places.
Moringa, also called the tree of life, is a medicinal plant that has a high content of vitamins and minerals such as iron, carotenoids, quercetin, vitamin C, polyphenols, chlorogenic acid… The Moringa has an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antidiabetic, vasodilator, anticholinergic, antirheumatic and healing action.
Increases respiratory capacity to fight diseases such as asthma it prevents diabetes. And also the Moringa has properties that help regulate oxidative stress, which lowers blood sugar levels, improving protection against cell damage.
Physical description of Moringa
Moringa flour is a food product obtained by grinding its dried leaves and stems, through a process that guarantees the preservation of its nutritional and detox properties.
100% of the parts of the Moringa Oleífera plant have industrial and commercial use.
Drying method of the green leaf of Moringa Oleifera:
We have developed the Moringa leaf dehydration system based on the moisture carryover methodology by injecting hot air
Based on an atmospheric heating system, the air is induced up to 40 degrees Celsius, into a three-phase stainless steel chamber that allows the continuous feeding of green leaves, being able to control of the volume/time/temperature variables of exposure in the moisture carryover process. The breech injects air from the basement, and hot air ascends freely between the locks made of expanded stainless steel mesh due to a controlled injection valves, which allows the elimination of humidity naturally and homogeneously.
This method allows the drying process maintains the maximum chemical qualities of the product, preserving a balance in the nutritional components of the Moringa leaf.
Subsequently, a sample of the sterilized batch is taken to the laboratory for bromatological and microbiological evaluation. The results that we attach show a batch of products, with high nutritional content and suitable for consumption. If any factor presented in the results concerns the client, we will make the appropriate adjustments. Just contact us.
Our crops are located in the Department of Antioquia, in the municipality of Santa Fe de Antioquia (Colombia).
We apply Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), aiming to reduce the negative impact on the environment and bring a clean, ecological, and socially responsible product to the market. Therefore, we avoid using pesticides and fertilizers of non-biological origin, but we protect our crops and encourage plant growth with organic compounds.
Likewise, the water with which we irrigate the crops comes from high-flow rivers and high mountain springs that are taken to the field through pipes.
Information for the consumer by groups.
Children between 1 and 3 years of age: Consume 3 grams of Moringa flour (1/2 teaspoon) each day
Breastfeeding Women: Consume 6 grams of Moringa flour (1 small teaspoon) each day
Healthy Adults, Seniors, High-Performance Athletes, Women and Men: Consume up to 12 grams of Moringa flour (2 teaspoons) each day.
The production process that we carry out is presented in the following flow chart:
Dehydrated Moringa leaf
The dehydrated Moringa leaf is packed in transparent plastic bags of 3.5mm density, to guarantee a physical barrier against water; Each bag contains 5 kilograms of dehydrated Moringa leaf. To get a light barrier, each bag is placed in a laminated fiber bag. At the end, the packet dimensions are 80 cm long, 50 cm wide, and 20cm high.
These bags with the Moringa leaf are arranged on a standard 120×100 cm pallet. Stacking 10 layers of flat bags, 5 per floor, in such a way that each pallet contains 50 bags of 5-kilogram with dehydrated Moringa leaf, for a total of 250 net kilograms of dehydrated Moringa leaf per pallet. The final dimensions of the pallet are: 120 cm long, 100 cm wide, and 215 cm high.
Moringa oleifera tea cut
The Moringa tea cut is packed in transparent plastic bags of 3.5 density, to guarantee a physical barrier against water; Each bag contains 10 kilograms of Moringa tea cut. To get a light barrier, each bag is placed in a laminated fiber bag. At the end, the packet dimensions are 80 cm long, 50 cm wide, and 15 high..
These Moringa tea cut bags are arranged on a standard 120×100 cm pallet. Stacking 14 layers of flat bags, 5 per floor, in such a way that each pallet contains 70 bags of 10-kilograms with Moringa tea cut, for a total of 700 net kilograms of Moringa tea cut per pallet. The final dimensions of the pallet are 120 cm long, 100 cm wide, and 225 cm high.
Moringa leaf powder
Moringa powder is packed in transparent plastic bags of 3.5 density, to guarantee a physical barrier against water; each bag contains 10 kilograms of Moringa leaf powder. To get a light barrier, two bags are placed in a laminated fiber bag. At the end, the packet dimensions are 80 cm long, 50 cm wide, and 20 high and the weight of each bag is 20 kilograms of Moringa leaf powder.
These bags with Moringa powder are arranged on a standard 120×100 cm pallet. Stacking 10 layers of flat bags, 5 per floor, in such a way that each pallet contains 50 20-kilogram bags of Moringa powder, for a total of 1000 net kilograms of Moringa powder per pallet. The final dimensions of the pallet are: 120 cm long, 100 cm wide and 215 cm high.
Therefore, each pallet per presentation has the following dimensions and weights:
Dehydrated Moringa leaf: 250 kilograms. 120cm long, 100cm wide and 215cm high.
Moringa tea cut: 700 kilograms. 120cm long, 100cm wide, 225cm high.
Moringa leaf powder: 1000 kilograms. 120cm long, 100cm wide and 215cm high.
